Crystal Palace have reportedly entered the race to sign Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho on a free transfer at the end of the season.

The South London club, Palace, will have to beat West Ham and Brentford to sign the Nigerian sensation.

Iheanacho, who is 27 years old, joined Leicester, who are now in the Championship, from Manchester City in 2017, and he has since made over 200 appearances for the club.

However, his contract expires next summer and negotiations for an extension is currently showing no progress.

It is now increasingly likely that Iheanacho will be returning to the Premier League, if Leicester fails to qualify by next season.

Recall he won’t be the first. Shortly after Leicester City’s relegation, Tottenham snatched Maddison away from the side, who has since impressed for Ange Postecoglou’s side.
